Social Media Usage 1/29 through 1/30

I spent 4 hours and 19 minutes on my phone. Looking at the useful add on to our Iphones I saw that out of the four hours I spent three hours and 7 minutes on different social media apps.

Longest: Tik Tok with one hour and 41 minutes

Second : Snapchat with one hour and 22 minutes

Shortest: Instagram with seven minutes

I spent six hours and 48 minutes on my phone, 5 hours being on social media

Longest: snapchat with two hours and 52 minutes

Second: Tik Tok with two hours and 3 min

Shortest: Instagram with Three minutes

I spent 3 hours and 59 minutes on my phone, two hours on social media.

Longest:Tik Tok with one hour and 30 minutes

Second:SNapchat with 33 minutes

Shortest:VSCO with 4 minutes

Reflection:

After looking back and seeing how much time I spent on social media. Social media takes away a big part of our daily lives. On an everyday basis I use a multitude of different social media apps from Snapchat to TikTok, VSCO, Instagram and Twitter.

Looking at my usage time on each app I see that my two biggest apps are Snpachat and TikTok. I am not surprised one bit. I catch myself on TikTok for many hours a day. It is so addicting and easy to just keep swiping through videos. I think I spend most of my time here because my app is very customized to what I am interested in. It finds a way to keep me engaged and I don't get bored.

To my other app, Snapchat. It's obvious to me why I like spending time on it. It is because I like talking to my friends there. Now that I'm in college I don't get to see my hometown friends as much and snapchatting them is my way of communication with them.

Overall Social Media has aig impact on my life, it's so easy and habit to pick my phone up and answer my snapchat notifications or scroll through TikTok or Instagram. I believe I spend way too much time on social media and my phone in general.
